In a business context: I am focused on advisory services to Boards and organisations from Information Technology to Business strategy. Equity investments and business development with specific focus on Asia. I have a passion for the implication of social media on commerce as we know it today.

Michael brings a unique combination of leadership and actionable strategic thinking delivering on annual product and services business plans of between USD30m to USD250m+ over the last 12 years. Leading/concluding complex IT services, outsourcing, integration & software solutions/transactions raging from USD5m to USD120m++ per year.

Personal

Michael is a father of three – Jonathan, Caitlin & Mark and tries to be important in the life of my children in engaging them through sport, friends, advice and making time for what is important for/to them. However, to tell you the truth I tend to learn more from them as they go through life and mature into young adults. Jono has taught me a few social media lessons and one of the reasons I am so passionate about the social media revolution (and note this is a revolution and not an evolution) is I see it in their lives.  I am married to Lizette who has kept me on the straight and narrow since 89′ – wow!  My parents, elder brothers and younger sister live in South Africa. A country that is still ingrained in me. I left South Africa in 98′ and have made my way to Australia via Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Australia is “where I lay my hat” and is the future for my children.
